Played around with High Pass and blendmodes in PS, and surprisingly came to a rather pleasing result.

The image appears much less "washed out" now.

The Agility tail isn't the wrong-way around; I figure, as soon as Ledian shifts from Agility to Comet Punch, the line will dissipate from both ends. Anyway:

Commentator #1: “...Ledian zips across the arena with Agility, forming a lovely, blue tail behind it! As quickly as the speed-line dissipates, Ledian breaks the chase and closes in to strike with Comet Punch! Lightening fast, it's unavoidable in most instances, but coupled with Agility, Comet Punch is harder and faster than ever! Poor Togekiss won't know what hit him!”

[Crowd roars as Togekiss suffers a critical hit]

Commentator #2: “It's quite―appropriate, don't you think? Blue-ish, ionised gasses and dust particles tailing behind as Ledian's fists comet towards its foe!”

Commentator #1: “Great imagery here tonight, folks―Oh! Togekiss plummets to the ground; its sustained serious damage from that last attack! Man, this is gonna huuuuurt!”

This is entirely amazing... Your colors...!! They look matted but the look so natural and smooth too!! Not to mention your brilliant use of lighting and shading... I am very very very impressed <333

It's interesting, post-painting adjustments in PS really brought out the loose nature of my painting style. I quite like the "matted" look, so try to avoid very smooth blends.
